KEIGHLEY CAT CARE
SPONSORSHIP
Some times it is just not possible to home some cats or kittens, but unless advised to do so by a vet we never put a cat to sleep.

Here are some of the cats that are with Keighley Cat Care that for one reason or another will stay with us.
If you would like to sponsor one of these cats then please contact us Just a small regular donation per month will go a long way. If you are a business and would like to sponsor a cat we will promote your business on this page.

Caryll came in only ONE day old and Angie hand reared her. She did get a home but she pined so much for her "mummy" that she came back. She will stay with us forever.

Fred (always known as "Little Fred) was a very sick kitten and many times we thought we would lose him. However, he pulled through. Unfortunately he got a nasty eye infection which would not clear up so the vet decided the best option was to remove the eye. Fred has - please forgive the pun - "never looked back". (sorry couldn't resist). Seriously, he is a very happy lad but again he'll stay with Angie.

Hazel has not been with us all that long but she is a very scared little girl.  She is fine with Angie and can just about be stroked but anyone else sends her into ballistic mode.

Indie was another of Angie's special hand-rears. I first saw her when Angie handed me a baby blanket and I actually thought it was just a blanket for the kitten weighed just about nothing. With all Angie's excellent love and care she made a lovely, affectionate cat but she is special so she will not be homed.

Rowena came to us in a bad way. She was wandering the streets and had been living off discarded leftover of Indian Take-aways. It took several months before the curry stains came out of her fur. She will not be homed because she is still, after six years, scared of everybody except Angie and her family. She is completely over the top in her affection of those she knows well but anyone else just freaks her.

Ursula is the ultimate in scaredy cats. I have only seen her as a blur as she runs for cover just in case I turn out to be an axe murderer. Getting her a home is pretty well a no-no. Her photograph doesn't do her justice as she is a lovely cat.
