KEIGHLEY CAT CARE
ADOPTING

It is our aim to make sure that every one of our cats and kittens gets the right home. When you get in touch with us we will go through the adoption process with you and answer any questions you may have.  We will then give you details of the cats or kittens we think will fit the bill, then you can go visit our fosterers and make your choice.

Each cat is different, some get on with dogs, other cats, children and some don’t so it is important we take all these details into consideration.  The majority of our cats and kittens have had a bad start and it is our job to make sure they get the best home where they will be safe and loved. We will not home close to a very busy main road for obvious reasons.

Not all the cats and kittens which are available for adoption are shown here so please contact us for an up to date list.

Mr. Gruff: Age about 4. This little man was living rough in Keighley. We came across him by chance, and after making some enquiries discovered that he was a stay. Initially we were unable to take him in due to being full, the cold weather crept up on us and finally we were able to get him into a foster home, he is now waiting that special for ever home, and here  he is licking his lips after a good feed.

Amazon is a big cat who loves all the attention almost as much as she loves her food. She's always wanting a cuddle and loves to have people around.  (Fosterer  Debbie)

Freeman: Not in the first flush of youth, we think he is a little over 10 years old. He is a lovely gentle friendly old chap that has been left behind when his owner moved away, mostly gray in colour he just needs a quiet comfortable place to relax and enjoy his twilight years. (Fosterer Justine)

Ivan loves company and chicken - not always in that order! Friendly with other cats and very playful. Quite a knee cat and a serious chatter cat.
Ivan is about three years old and a very sweet natured cat given his history. He was found (thank goodness) by a lady who was walking through a cemetery and saw a cardboard box completely fastened up with tape and inside was a very distressed cat. He had been put in the box, taped up and dumped. He had some fur missing on his flank, pretty thin and totally bewildered by his dreadful ordeal.  His new, yet to find, owners will be rewarded by a handsome, loving and very grateful young cat. Another happy ending for a lucky cat after being the victim of totally mindless cruelty. (Fosterer Justine)

Beth is quite a timid little girl but would come round once she was the number one in your life. And is just like her mum.  (Fosterer debbie)

Christian is a young (3 years old) white and tabby boy. He is a very loving cat who needs a quiet home without any other cats. He has a sweet nature and will reward his new mum and dad with love and affection in bucket loads. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered and has his little suitcase already packed with his dish and favourite mouse - so already to go. Are you that fabulous family he has asked Santa to bring him? (fosterer Chris)

Lily needs to be the only cat in the household. She's quite the little Diva. She's eighteen months old but quite small for her age. Lily is a quiet cat except when it comes to meal times then she makes her demands known in no uncertain terms. She will stand any amount of cuddling to get her favourite brand of cat food. I swear she can read! (fosterer Chris)

Jess: This little lady is only a year old and loves to be involved in anything and everything you do. She is a very sweet natured little girl who will make a super family pet. She is used to children, cats and dogs. (fosterer Chris)

Jill will be a little bit shy to begin with but once you've got her trust she will reward you in so many ways. She will do well in a quiet home where she can have time to blossom. She is a very pretty, petite cat with lovely markings. (fosterer Chris)

Mercury: This lovely girl fell on hard times and was a stray. She can't wait to get her own loving, forever home with her own family again. She is a beautiful, graceful cat with an adorable temperament. (fosterer Pauline)

Sadly Norman came into care after his owner could no longer look after him due to illness. He has been extremely well cared for and loved. He will make a great addition to any home. He's happy with other cats and generally likes to be in the thick of everything. He's six months old and looking forward to finding his new family. (fosterer Chris)

Nigel came to us after living rough on the streets. He is only very young - about six months so has had a bad start to his little life. However, that hasn't stopped him being very affectionate and inquisitive about his surroundings. He has also found his space on our bed - being first one up the stairs at bed time. (fosterer Chris)

Lego, is a 2 year old neutered male, he is a big boy but is really friendly and loves to have constant attention and loves to sit on your lap. He's been a stray for sometime so is still scared of loud noises and doors but is slowly getting used to a house environment. He even likes to play with you for a bit. If you shout you'll hear a small meow and he'll be sat behind you and rarely ignores you. He's a very laid back little man and just wants all the attention and love in the world. (fosterer Angie)

Helga is a 12 month old tortoiseshell who is very friendly and loves fusses. She gets on with other cats and seems OK with dogs. She came from somebody who was going to college and couldn't take her with them and is also the mum to Hugo. She will make somebody a really good companion. (Fosterer Debbie)

Herbert: Little Herbert was wandering the streets looking for food. He is only eight weeks old and quite thin. However, he is safe with us now and the only way is up for him. He's already got the hang of finding the comfiest chair and has quite taken to having his food delivered to him. Given his poor start he is a very friendly little guy and will make someone a lovely pet. (Fosterer Chris)

Geoff is a little black and white boy however a little  scared but still loves to be cuddled once you get a hold of him, just take a while for him to come to you but getting better every day (Fosterer Joanne)

Kooly - Grey and white, Male. These kittens were born around 8th September and are about 8/9weeks in the photos. They are all friendly and used to being handled but are farm cats and have been raised so far in a barn. They will however make great family pets and are not feral in any way but like most cats would require access to the outside world. They are being fostered at the farm.

Kently - White with gray patches, Male. These kittens were born around 8th September and are about 8/9weeks in the photos. Nikki is a very pretty, three year old ginger girl. She has settled in quickly, is confident and certainly lets you know what she wants especially when it comes to food. She would do well in a home with no other pets so she can be the centre of someone's world. She is happy to have company but also quite happy spending time on her own. She loves to play and can be quite spirited with her toys. Have you got room in your heart for Nikki?

Maxwell, born early November this little kitten just oozes character, he loves his food above most other things but playing is high up there on the agenda too! He is a rough and ready chap and would fit into a busy family household or with other animals. an all round sweetheart. (fosterer Angela)
